Supported coding agents: 27 CLIs you can run in MXterm Pro

MXterm Pro supports 27 coding agents: it launches each one in a real terminal pane and recognises it by its command. You install each CLI and sign in with your own account; MXterm Pro never installs an agent for you.

What “supported” means here

  • Launch and recognise: every agent below opens in a normal terminal pane and is recognised by its name and logo.
  • Status detection: for 9 of them, MXterm Pro also reads whether the agent is working, blocked, done or idle.
  • Token Meter: for 4 of them, token usage shows up in the Token Meter.
  • Nothing more is promised. An agent without those chips still runs; it just gets no extra detection.

Questions about supported agents

What does “supported” mean?
MXterm Pro launches the agent in a terminal pane and recognises it by its command. For some agents it also detects status or reads token usage, and each card says which. It does not change how the agent itself works.
Does MXterm Pro install the agents?
No. A card shows the vendor's install command for you to copy and run yourself, or a link to the vendor's install steps. MXterm Pro never installs an agent for you.
Do I need an account with each vendor?
Yes. You run the vendor's own CLI and sign in with your own account or API key. MXterm Pro does not include access to any model.
What is bypass?
Bypass launches an agent with the option that skips its permission prompts, so it can run commands without asking you first. MXterm Pro offers it only for agents whose option the vendor documents, and it stays off unless you turn it on. Most agents use a launch flag; Goose uses the GOOSE_MODE environment variable instead. Because the agent then acts without asking, use it deliberately.
Why do some agents show up only once installed?
Agents marked “Shows up once installed” appear in the New Tab picker only after MXterm Pro finds their command on your machine. Settings lists all of them.
My agent is not on the list. Can I still run it?
Yes. Any command-line tool runs in a normal pane. This list is the agents MXterm Pro knows by name, so it can show their logo and offer them in menus.
