First launch: macOS Gatekeeper

MXterm Pro is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. On first launch, macOS asks you to confirm that you want to open an app downloaded from the internet.

"MXterm Pro" is an app downloaded from the Internet. Click Open.

This prompt is normal for any app downloaded from the internet. Only if macOS blocks the app instead, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

The first time you run it, Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC” and lists the publisher as Unknown. Click More info, then Run anyway. When MXterm Pro later updates itself, this warning should not appear again.
Windows support is new
There is no ARM64 build.

  • Claude Code plan limits in Token Meter, which read the macOS Keychain.
  • Clicking a notification to jump to its pane, and the Dock badge.
  • Control Room (formerly War Room) recognising an agent you start by hand in a plain terminal pane.
  • Pasting copied files or an image as paths: only text is pasted.

Beta. The package is not code-signed. Saved passwords and signing in need GNOME Keyring or KWallet to be running. Voice dictation and the in-app browser column are not available on Linux yet, so links open in your system browser. There is no automatic update on Linux: download the new version here.
